Bipolar disorder, mania, schizophrenia, and related conditions are serious psychiatric presentations that respond well to properly managed drug therapy — but that management needs to be genuinely expert. Mood stabilisers and antipsychotics are not treatments to start, adjust, or stop without a qualified psychiatrist’s involvement.
